we had a great time at selborne! the shuttle ride with jay set a nice tone, and the staff were super friendly from the get-go. loved the breakfast with fresh fruit salads and yummy coffee. also, the spa staff were so caring and made my aunt's massage at the room happen, which was a big deal for her. the views from our garden room were just perfect for relaxing.
unfortunately, some areas felt a bit outdated and my aunt's room had a few issues with housekeeping. also wished the pool area was cleaned up a bit more.

the garden room was as fine as could be, yet, cobwebs all over were disgraceful and left me feeling rather uncared for. it's an absolute travesty that the pool area was littered with old sunbeds, yet no one ever bothered to clean up the mess. i almost thought of giving a good review but just couldn’t, really.

The garden room layout had a decent amount of space, allowing for some comfort during my stay. The view from the second-storey room was delightful, giving off that cool tree-top vibe you hope for when escaping the hustle and bustle.
The overall cleanliness left something to be desired, especially in the bathrooms, which seemed neglected with broken fixtures and outdated tiles. The air conditioning unit was a relic, and it struggled to provide heat during the cold nights, resulting in an uncomfortable stay with a young one. Even basic amenities like coffee, tea, and toilet paper weren't consistently replenished, diminishing the experience. There were moments when the sliding doors wouldn’t lock properly, which felt pretty unsafe. And let’s not forget that the dining service had its issues—long waits for food and a bit of a takeaway vibe that detracted from the dining experience overall.
